1. Do we ask for cookie consent?
No pop-up consent banner is shown. Tonoa does not set advertising, social, or analytics cookies, and we do not load third-party tracking pixels.
Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), we process personal data on a lawful basis (your request for a service, a contract, or a legal duty). Strictly necessary storage that makes sign-in, checkout, and delivery work does not need a separate cookie opt-in. An EU-style consent wall would be required only if we later added non-essential tracking.
You can still clear site data in your browser at any time. Doing so will sign you out and reset theme and delivery preferences. Read this together with our privacy policy.
2. What we store
These items are required for the product to function:
- Sign-in tokens and session so shoppers are not asked for a PIN on every visit, and so vendors, couriers, and admins stay signed in.
- Operator login state (including a short-lived MFA step and ZITADEL sign-in state) held in session storage during that flow.
- Theme preference so the site stays light or dark as you chose.
- Delivery and store choices so your selected address, a provisional map pin, and last store can persist while you shop.
- App install reminder so we do not keep asking you to install the PWA after you dismiss it.
- Workspace layout (a first-party cookie) so an operator sidebar stays open or closed.
These live in first-party cookies, local storage, or session storage on your device. We do not use them to profile you for ads.
3. Third parties
Payment, SMS, maps, and identity providers may set their own cookies when you use those services (for example approving MoMo on your phone, or operator SSO). Those providers are responsible for their own cookies. We only send them the details needed for that step.
4. How to control storage
Use your browser settings to delete cookies and site data for Tonoa. After that you will need to sign in again and set your delivery location. Blocking all storage may stop checkout and dashboards from working.
5. Changes
If we add non-essential cookies (for example analytics), we will update this policy and introduce a consent choice before those cookies are set. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we publish a revision.
